Private Lessons

Beginner, intermediate, & advanced wheel-throwing instruction. Lessons are an hour and a half long and take place during the week and on select weekends. If you’re just starting out, this a wonderful opportunity to learn the basics of wheel throwing and receive one-on-one guidance. Intermediate potters can look forward to refining skills such as centering, pulling walls, trimming, and more.

  • Refillable Candle Company Asbury Park, NJ

    Small business looking to expand production of (formerly) hand-built candle vessels. Scaling this type of work required a substantial amount of employee training and time. The introduction of slip casting streamlined their process: increasing workforce teachability, studio efficiency, quality of work, and profit margin.

  • Independent Studio | Saint Augustine, FL

    Artist and entrepreneur looking to further develop specific areas of their studio practice. This consultation began with wheel throwing; basic techniques, clay considerations for a humid climate, and ultimately building height. Glaze development involved conversations surrounding application, thickness, and heat work. The consultation concluded with kiln maintenance; element and thermocouple replacement.
